Exclusive Cádiz Tours to Seville and the Alcázar.

Embark on a private day trip from Cadiz to the enchanting city of Seville, the heart of Andalusia. Together, we will explore its significant monuments and uncover the city's delightful hidden gems.

With the expertise of our local Seville guide, we’ll delve into the exquisite Moorish architecture of the Real Alcazar, Europe's oldest royal palace in continuous use, established by the Muslim community a millennium ago.

Adjacent to the Alcazar lies the majestic Cathedral and the historic Santa Cruz neighborhood, the former Jewish Quarter. Here, we'll meander through enchanting narrow streets that hold both secrets and a tranquil ambiance.

Later, we’ll visit the Cathedral, the third-largest in the Christian world, renowned for its wealth of artistry. Within its walls, you’ll find the authentic tomb of Christopher Columbus! We’ll also have the opportunity to view (and climb, if you wish) the Giralda Tower, an ancient minaret that stands as a symbol of Seville.

You’ll have ample free time to further explore the captivating city and savor lunch on your own (not included).

There is a fountain in the middle of the Alcazar courtyard of a building.

Information about Seville

Seville boasts an incredibly rich history. The Romans ruled over all of Spain for more than six centuries, transforming the landscape by constructing aqueducts and straight roads that connected major towns. However, it was the Muslim invaders who left the most enduring mark on Seville. Their dynasty thrived in Andalusia for nearly 800 years, from 711 until 1492, when the Catholic monarchs ultimately vanquished the Muslim kingdom of Granada. Many of Seville's most striking buildings serve as a testament to this era.

Following the fall of Granada, Spain entered a period of remarkable prosperity and expansion. The discovery of the New World positioned Seville as one of the wealthiest cities in Europe. However, by the 18th century, Spain faced significant economic turmoil, and the 19th and early 20th centuries brought poverty and adversity, leading to political strife and eventually civil war. Today, Seville stands as the capital of Andalusia and ranks among the most visited cities in Spain.
